THE BARAI is a truly special spa and hotel in a tranquil and spiritual sanctuary, that offers luxurious residential spa accommodation, as well as an extensive range of spa treatments and lifestyle programs.

Guests who choose to stay at THE BARAI will experience a complete spa journey the entire spa experience is integrated into all aspects of the guest’s stay. The Barai Suite - the residential spa accommodation - to the wellness and spa treatment therapies, lifestyle programs, to the relaxation and dining at McFarland House restaurant. 

Being a guest at The Barai, you will discover small touches and delightful surprises from the unique architectural design to the exclusive tailor made furniture.

The Suite Butlers are your personal assistant and available at your beck-and-call throughout your stay. They will assist you in preparing a healthy breakfast which can either be enjoyed at McFarland House or served in your suite, recommend and book your required spa treatments, serve an evening cocktail or prepare an in-suite Aroma Steam and Aroma Milk Bath.

Spa Facilities
There are 18 architecturally designed treatment rooms made consisting of 12 single rooms and 6 double rooms and range in size from 78-181 sqm. Each room features a private outdoor soaking tub, rain shower and a Thai bed area for relaxation and traditional Thai Massage. Three of the double rooms offer hydrotherapy treatments with the addition of the vichy shower room and a steam room.

For relaxation there is the Tranquility Court covering more than a 1000sqm and features a sand court that is designed for swimming, yoga and relaxation.

Prior to and/or after treatments, THE BARAI guests are welcome to enjoy the facilities of the Day Spa, they are separate for men and women covering 435sqm. The Day Spa provides the following:

  • Dry Sauna
  • Steam Room
  • Relaxation area with comfortable lounge chairs
  • Tea and snack area offering fresh Herbal Iced Tea of the day, Herbal Infused Water of the day, dried fruit, fresh tropical fruit and Healthy cookies or Healthy bars

  • Vanity counters with hair styling products and hair dryers
  • Shower rooms with bathroom amenities by Kerstin Florian
  • One private changing room in the women's locker room

THE BARAI day spa is adjacent to the Tranquillity Court and is open from 10am to 9pm daily.

The focus is for result-driven and culturally authentic therapies that are inspired by the traditions of ancient Thai health rituals combined with the best of Western therapies for balancing the elements of earth, water, fire and air.

All treatments and journeys are guided by the elements. A recommended treatment program is based on the guest's personal goals whilst working with the elements:

THE BARAI is honoured to be the only spa in Thailand to offer the product.

Panpuri ~ are based on ancient Eastern traditions of natural remedies for the betterment of the body, mind and soul. Panpuri uses the finest, natural ingredients of Eastern botanicals, which contain proven benefits and that are gentle for even the most sensitive skin.

The 70-seat McFarland House is an airy and elegant casual beachfront dining pavilion that offers snacks, Thai and Western cuisines served tapas style, along with a wide range of fresh fruit juices, cocktails and an extensive list of wine by the glass, all is available during day.
During the evenings, McFarland House serves cocktails for guests of The Barai Suites.

THE BARAI is located on the beachfront land adjacent to the Hyatt Regency, Hue Hin.

It is 200km from Bangkok, a 2.5 hour drive.

THE BARAI features eight luxurious residential spa suites - The Barai Suites - ranging in size from 126-149sq m and are designed for treatments and overnight stays.
The Barai Suites on ground floor feature a verandah with a private plunge pool, whilst the upper floor suites have spacious balconies and spectacular views of the Gulf of Thailand. The other features in the The Barai Suites include:
