Karen Goudge created Spa Travel from a passion and respect for travel, culture and tradition, combined with an understanding of the benefits that touch can bring. Inspired by glorious years of traveling, visiting hot springs in the Himalayas, smothering her body in muds in Turkey and bathing in termes in Tuscany; Karen now resides in the beautiful coastal town of Barwon Heads. 

Through various encounters and choices she holds a strong appreciation and acceptance of life. Karen practices meditation, yoga and has great pleasure in researching and creating Spa Travel packages, giving people the opportunity to experience the amazing world of spa and travel.

The Bays of Fire walk was a much anticipated trip that went above and beyond all expectations.   Absolutely fantastic and an unforgettable experience. I would like to say that Ananda Spa in the Himalayas, India was sensational and I am recommending to everyone that this is one place to go for rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, peace, tranquillity and not forgetting Yoga.  It is a place where you can be so involved there is no time for anything else, or you can just do everything at your own pace – the choice is yours. It was an experience that my husband and I will always remember.

Jessie was lovely and the yoga challenging but relaxing for the mind.  I have decided that I will be doing one yoga retreat each year and that every second year that retreat will be overseas.  Its likely that I will be going to Jessie's retreats in Byron when retreating in Oz, but if you have suggestions for other yoga / wellness retreats overseas, I'd love to get some ideas and start planning for 2007/08.  It's quite possible that I will want to go travelling O/S a lot sooner than two years!  Looking at India, Europe (particularly Spain, Italy, France and Greece) and South America - but any suggestions will be most welcome.
