The stylish rooms are all air-conditioned and feature unique antique romantic four-poster canopied beds giving a feeling of relaxed grandeur.
The Ocean suites have spacious shaded verandas for private dining and antique Indian swings, which overlook the verdant gardens with views of the Indian Ocean.
The furniture is a combination of antique pieces, based on furniture as used by members of the East India Company, as well as contemporary pieces.
The Colonial style is enhanced by the highly decorated antique Calcutta four poster beds which were used during the British Raj, along with antique electric fans and ceiling fixed punkah fans.
The contemporary Bharat hand crafted coloured floor tiles, replicating the famous encaustic tiles, invented by 12th Century monks, are the legacy of the magnificent decorative floors which were so popular in the Colonies from the end of the nineteenth century. They are beautiful and cool underfoot.

The bathrooms are enormous with rain showers and Venetian style mirrors. The free-standing hand made bathtubs and shower screens are all polished granite, testament of fine Indian craftsmanship.

From the bathrooms, all but one – the Nelum Suite - feature a private walled tropical garden, with an open to stars waterfall shower.

Dining is a special experience at Reef.

You can choose to dine at the restaurant by the pool under illuk thatched timbers or al fresco under the stars.

Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner the executive Chef Peter Petierz and his team have designed a menu of exceptional quality, featuring the best of both International and Sri Lankan cuisine and fine wines.  Choose from the a la carte menu or the catch of the day.

Or choose be to served on your private veranda or in the more formal surroundings of the main house.  Traditional English afternoon tea is served in the Main House, where there are ample sofas to curl up upon for a good read.

Reef Ultimate Pampering
Commencing with a full body exfoliation using a salt scrub, the skin is prepared for the application of a detoxifying clay cocoon;
While you are gently cocooned in the clay under banana leaves the therapist will carry out a facial massage using an oil of your choice (sweet almond, jojoba or sweet almond oil with wheat germ oil);

This is followed by the holistic experience of a hot stone massage;
The stones are bathed in aromatic oils and placed on key energy points of the body to create warmth and deep relaxation, easing the tension of aching muscles;
Finish the experience with a deluxe pedicure to relax the mind body and soul.

Turmeric natural honey wrap, salt scrub and facial massage
Commencing with a full body exfoliation using a salt scrub, the skin is prepared for the application of a turmeric natural honey wrap.
While you are gently cocooned in the clay under banana leaves the therapist will carry out a facial massage using an oil of your choice (sweet almond, jojoba or sweet almond oil with wheat germ oil)
