The walls around each pavilion provide total privacy and enable guests to relax completely. Each spa cabana boasts large French doors which open up to the gardens, allowing views of the lush greenery around the treatment room, whilst gentle sea breezes whisper through. Every treatment pavilion contains an outdoor bath for two and a designated mandi bunga area where guests can experience a Malay flower bath followed by a spa experience of their choice.

The innovative Malay treatments offered at the Spa Village are unique to the area. Age-old therapies have been creatively adapted to the modern-day, ensuring that body, mind and spirit are nourished, rejuvenated and soothed. These restorative Malay treatments have been handed down from generation to generation, ensuring their authenticity, and therapeutic value. With a history of more than a thousand years, the practices are believed to have their origins in the convergence of Malay, Arab, Indian and Chinese influences during the days of the Melaka Sultanate.

Tanjong Jara Resort is situated on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia and lies mid-way between Kuala Terengganu in the North and Kuantan in the South. The riverine town of Dungun lies west of the Resort and is eight kilometres by road. Access is by air from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Kuala Terengganu Airport. The resort can provide transfers to the hotel, about an hour by private car.

Bumbung Rooms - Situated amidst a lush tropical landscaped garden, each contained within double storey units on the upper floor. 

Serambi Rooms - Similar in setting to the Bumbung, but on the lower floor and includes a private terrace.

Anjung Rooms - Each cottage is approximately 88 square metres in size and furnished with a king-sized bed and an additional sofa bed to suit your accommodation requirements.  A large symmetrical sunken outdoor bath set in its own private gardens gives undisturbed privacy. There is a large indoor shower, two vanity units and water closet in the adjoining en suite.  A canopied terrace extending onto the gardens and beach provides the perfect setting for a private candle lit dinner.

The Resort’s rooms are intricately designed using a mixture of Belian wood, timber and teak.  Local materials were used in its luxurious furnishing.  The rooms are positioned to offer panoramic views of the South China Sea as well as the scenic tropical landscaped gardens and beach.

Each room features spacious interiors and luxurious fabrics. The ensuite bathrooms have large vanities and a separatte shower and  bathtub.  All rooms will have you comfortably accommodated with thermostat controlled air-conditioning, king-size bed, writing desk, flatscreen television with satellite channels, an electronic safe, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer, refrigerator and coffee and tea making facilities.
